View Full Version : Stepped concrete floor
I am drawing the concrete floor for a mini storage bldg. The concrete is 1.5" lower at the doorways than the rest of the floor to keep the water out. The step goes from the outside edge of the concrete wall to 3 1/2" past the inside of the walls to accomodate the track. Note it only does this in the doorways which there are many of.

A generic floor based family cutting a void in the floor will do the trick.

I assume this is a question and not a statement.
I see two options:
Use a void in an in place family to cut into the floor. You may need to paint a surface back onto the cut surfaces.
Use two or more floors, one with a 1.5" less deep topping and and set 1.5" below your associated level then join geometry so that in nsection they read as one.

...or cut the floor back and build a small slab in the door family as a threshhold. That way they move with the door.
