Has anyone been able to do this? I have an arced corridor wall that gently curves, I have equally sized rooms just on the other side of this corridor wall continuing all the way down the corridor. The problem I'm having is that I want every room partition to stay perpendicular to the arc corridor wall as i array these walls, all the rooms will be the same width. Anyone have any success with this?

i dont think array works but you can draw the walls perpendicular to the curved wall
and adjust the distance with ark length dimensions.

Begin the array command, in the Options bar (top of the screen, just above the drawing window), make the array radial. Then move the point of rotation to the center of the arcing corridor wall. Put in the right number of partition walls, the correct angle of each subsequent rotation, and that should do it.

Christopher's approach will work but if you want to avoid the math you can simply use the 'last' option for the array commad and set the angle for the last wall where it needs to go and adjust the number of walls in the array. Or you can place the correct number of walls, place a dimension string on the walls and click the EQ constraint.
To select the center of the arc wall just use your snap options (SC) before you pick the wall.

I was trying to place a dimension string along a curved Curtain Wall to locate equally spaced Grids and couldn't seem to get a dimension string that would allow me to create an equality constraint. Near as I can tell you can't create a series of equally spaced elements along a curve (at least not using constraints). I think the radial array set to last will work though so I'll give that a shot today.

Hopefully I'm wrong and just missing something (and it's probably obvious) and if so I'd love to hear about it! <grin>

Hmm, still having a problem with this, I've attached a pdf image showing one of the walls, it's perpendicular to the arc wall, i need to array this perpendicular wall along the arc wall. Dimensions do not seem to be able to help with this. I think the post about using the "last" command under the radial array will work but I'm unclear on how to execute the command correctly. Mayybe a step by step instruction would be helpful. Thx.

I'm afraid I led you astray with the EQ comment. Seems you can't do that with a radial dimension

Here's a quick video of how the array would work. You could use ref planes or some other temporary measure to place the last wall or just type in the angular value if you know it. Keep an eye on the cursor tip to make sure the wall is perpendicualr to your arc wall.

Very nice little vid. I knew their had to be a simple solution. Thx!
