square yardage calculation

How can I schedule the square yardage of floor area? The area parameter only provides for square footage. I figure it is a formula I'll have to schedule for the room tag, but can someone help me determine what to do?

1 sq. yd. = 9 sq. ft.
What you need to do is determine the square footage of the space and divide by 9. This should give you the square yards you need.

Just in case you need this for volume as well:
1 cu. yd. = 27 cu. ft.

That is not what I needed....how can I schedule this formula? The project settings don't have square yardage. I was hoping to have a column in a room schedule that had "square yardage"

Make a calulated value.

In the fields, create a Calculated Value "AREA SQUARE YARDS" with a Formula= Area/9SF.
