Is it me or is there a problem getting Revit dimensions to be associative in ACAD after you have exported a DWG file?
Can anyone help?

No, it is not just you.

I have assumed it is this way because when you look at a Revit dimension, its associative grip is found on the dimension extension line and not on the object it so beautifully attaches itself to.

I would love to be told I am wrong and that you can have associative dimensions in Autocad.

I think this would be hard to achieve since dimensions in REVIT are usually associated with an elements EDGE (there are exceptions), whereas in Autocad they are associated with POINTS (usually endpoints of lines). The program would have to decide which endpoint of an edge it translates the association to. Besides, other issues will arise as the REVIT elements disintegrate into lines in the export-process.
