Started using XREFs with new company and I have to rotate an Xref while still maintaining the same coordinate system. So if I want to just copy a drawing close to the area it will copy and paste where it is supposed to be. I am drawing a blank on how to do this. Thanx for any help.

if you want to rotate it, why not just rotate it within the viewport instead of the entire drawing? dview has the twist option & I believe it uses the 0,0 basepoint. I don't quite understand what you're asking with the copy/paste function, though.

I actually can't use viewports for this particular drawing as the clients still use microsurvey and they can't use paper space. So we actually used the DVIEW twist to get what we were loking for.

Another option is to create, name & set current a new UCS at the desired angle, and do View>3D Views>Plan View>Current UCS.
It may seem like more work than DVIEW, but it really helps in situations like this (can't use paperspace) when you start lining up notes, border, title block and such. When you are in the UCS, all that stuff goes in at zero rotation. Any time you need to find original coordinates, set the World UCS current.
