What are the best practices for producing a Revit schedule in the BOMA 1996 format?

So far I know I can generate the Gross SF and Measured Gross SF by using area plans or drawing filled regions an writing down the area.

I can get the SF of each space or by department.

Then what???

Should I write the numbers down and go to excel or export and go to excel or is there a way to do it in Revit?

Create an area schedule. You can get pretty sophisticated with only this (if needed, add parameters and calculated values). If needed you can export a schedule as a comma separated value (or tab separated, I don't remember) to use in excel.

Maybe I should rephrase and be alot more specific.

Please see attached.

How do you get the Floor R/U ratio, Building R/U, Floor Usable etc to show up in one schedule?

If I cant get it in one schedule then two? three?

How do I get the areas to add up separately and then use that total for a calc?

Should I make a separate schedule for each floor?

Jose,

I think this should be possible with formulas and room calculations. BOMA is a pain in the rear, and using Revit to do all the leg work would be awesome. This sort of application (maybe a plugin) would be very, very helpful.

I would think someone has already built a area schedule that can handle it...would they be willing to share is another question...
