Hi everyone:

I have a question about the roof. After I have joined two roofs, I would like to cut some portion of one roof, because I don't want it to be seen inside the building. How can I cut that portion? Thanks for your help!

Go to the Elevation view and cut it with a void

Or use the opening tool.

Thanks for you reply. Could you make it more specific? Thanks again.

Or use the opening tool.

I have tried the opening tool. It does not work. Any idea?

From my understanding, after you either joined the roofs or joined geometry, you edit the main roof to draw the opening wit a line that will be the junction between both roof.

It should do the job

Go to an elevation
Modelling -> Create
Roof (Give it a name)
Void Form (Draw the shape inside the roof)
Cut Geometry (Pick the roof and the Void)

go to the modelling tool bar, click opening, then chose roof to be cut by opening, select your roof, then in plan draw the shape you want cut out, note it needs to be a closed polyline, so you will trace the curved shape, then just "connect the dots" outside the roof edge.
