I have two rooms that are separated by an operable wall, I wish to show this wall as open. Yet when placing the room (area) into the model it won't bound to where the operable wall is located at but rather the end of the second room.
Is there any way to get around this?
Can I manually change the shape of a room (area) or rebound it to a new wall after it has already been inserted into a model?

check to see if your operable wall is room bounding.
select wall-->properties
there should be a check mark in the box next to the "room bounding" parameter.
if this operable wall is not an actually wall (i.e. it is another family type) then i know if you can add the parameter to it. you might be able to do so. if not, then just go to room and area in your design bar and draw a room separation line.

Room separation line (on the room and area menu in the design bar) will accomplish what you want.
