Hi, I have a Generic Model family with material set to 100% transparency. Everything is perfect. The problem is when I load the family into my project, nothing is visible behind the model. What do I need to do to make them visible?
I have gone thru Visibility/Graphics... in my project but no positive results.

Thanks in advance.

Edit: I decided to attach the rfa file.

Check the object style settings in the project file. It will override the family material setting. If you cannot get it to work, try setting the material using a material parameter in the family

It will never be transparent in a 2D elevation view. Just as you can't see through glass in a 2D view. You will be able to see through in a 3D projected view.

You have a few choices. Set the object to a subcategory that can be turned off in the 2D view. Of course the hatching will not be visible either - so this would have to be drafted in on the view using a filled region with a transparent pattern.

The object you are drawing could more easily be drawn using a curtain wall. Is there a reason you want it to be a generic model?
