Reference multiple views

I understand how to reference other views so that when you have similar or mirrored elevations, you can use the same reference detail and add "sim" note. Where I have not yet been successful is when you have more than one elevation to reference, and you would like to have one reference circle with more than one detail number. It might seem picky but I am laying each single reference on top of each other and I can't line up the darn circle or lines. I drew a reference line, thinking I could drag the reference circle over and locate it's centre point at the end of the line, but that didn't work either.

Any comments?
