I just ran across this post on Steve's blog (http://revitoped.blogspot.com/2005/11/make-up-my-mind.html).
I wish I had known about this earlier. I can see several uses to it. Anyways I wanted to know if there was a quick guide for Revit formulas to be used in families.

Thanks

I have a few great articles on Revit Formulas that i got off of here, but they are hard copies. I believe i got most of them from Steve (lol). One is called "The family man" and one is called "Revit formulae" i believe...

His blog has some great links to others that have information as well... Its only my daily list of sites to check out while waiting for STC to go through, lol...

There is surprisingly little documentation available for the Revit Formulas.

As a good rule of thumb... Most of the expressions that work in MS Excel will work in Revit also. This is true for simple arithmetic (+ - * /) as well as Boolean logic expressions (IF OR ELSE NOT).

I haven't been able to get more advanced text functions like Concatenate to work.

Hope this points you in the right direction.
