Im missing something simple (Shared parameter and light fixture...)

Were putting in lights for an RCP, and all i want is the Model Number to show on the RCP below the light. Seems simple enough...

In the Light family, i couldnt put a label... So i put a detail component, with an annotation embedded in it, that has a label, and ive nested the parameter all the way through. It shows up when im in the family in the RCP reference level, but it doesnt show up anywhere in the project.

Am i missing something stupid? I cant believe im getting tripped up on something like this...

BTW, i tried it originally with the system parameter 'Model', because i wasnt sure if this needed to be shared, since im not "tagging" it, im just putting a lable in the family (or trying to), but i had no success there either...
