problem with cad file exported from Revit

I've exported a Revit Building 9 floor plan to a Autocad 2000 dwg file. When I copy from another cad file and paste into the exported file, the command line says "_pasteclip" but nothing gets pasted in. It's not in outerspace, it's not on a frozen layer, nothing. I can paste into a cad file that wasn't exported from Revit, so I know that the problem isn't in the file I copied from. And I've tried to paste into the file from various files. I'm using ADT 3.3 and don't have this problem with other files. Any suggestions would be great!

I've had this problem too. Are you using an earlier AutoCAD release like ... 2004? If I remember right, my fix was to open a new drawing and bind xref in the REVIT exported dwg file. We don't have the same problem working in 2006 ... just other issues.
