copying openings

Hi,

I have a stacked wall. When I create an opening in this stacked wall, I can draw the opening across the two parts of the stacked wall. The opening works fine both walls and the sweep are cut.

next I would like to copy/array this opening. When I do the new opening only cuts the top wall of the stacked wall. Is there an easy fix. cut geometry doesn't seem to want to work.

please advise.
