Does anyone have a link to a comparison between AutoCAD, ADT and ABS?

Can you be a bit more specific? Adding that 3rd dimension is a huge difference. What exactly do you mean? What I'm looking for is a comparison chart that lists the differences betweent he 3 products.

Thomas, they are all built on the AutoCAD platform so in that regard ADT and ABS are exactly the same as AutoCAD... they essentially run on top of it. As a result, you may be asking what are the feature differences?

ADT has the ability to draw Doors, Windows, Floors, Roofs, etc... actual objects that are not just linework. So does ABS. But while ADT is a slightly more "complete" tool in terms of materials, walls, door, window styles, etc. ABS is a Building Systems program with the tools to do HVAC and the general systems that make up a building. It can be argued that ABS is the most "complete" package of the group, but ADT is a little better suited for Architects.

You can also check this page out for more info on ABS:

Thanks Brian, We offer a HVAC and Piping 3rd party app that runs on all 3. I've mostly used vanilla AutoCAD and have started on learning ADT. Since we run on all 3 I get all the questions as to what platform someone "needs" to run on and I know there is no One answer for that can of worms. I just want to get a good grasp on what the differences are so I can make some intelligent answers once I know how they want to run their setup.

Thanks for the link.
