Good Morning everyone:

Do anybody know how to make this brick pattern? Or another way to make it happen? Thanks for your help!

Do you know how to write hatch pattern files? If so, you can just write a pattern definition and create a new model pattern using the definition just created.

The pattern you show is not very difficult to craft. If you don't already know how to make a definition, try this link http://www.caddigest.com/subjects/autocad/tutorials/select/parsai_hatch_patterns.htm.

It is written for Autocad, but all the mechanics apply.

Hey there,
I am not sure what you are looking for; however, the quick way (not usable later though) is to just do a couple of drafted 'filled regions'.
The center main one is a simple brick pattern and the borders are just vertical and horizontal line patterns. You can play with the fill pattern line colors and make sure to use "invisible" lines when laying out your fills.

Hope this helps.
(If you don't have a brick fill pattern, you can download one from Revit City pretty easily, or someone here will post one for you. I am not at work and don't have access to my computer. Sorry.) www.revitcity.com
Good luck
Steve

One thing you should consider adding to this documents is that you need to specify the units for Revit to scale properly in the .pat file using ;%UNITS=MM or INCH

Yet another step-by-step tutorial:
http://www.ccadinc.com/tips/creatingcustomhatchpatterns.html

And some links to some hatch pattern collections:
http://www.cadro.com.au/hatchkit/HatLinks.html

You will probably find the comments heading revit.pat (a text file) will aid your creating patterns suitable for Revit, in particular the effect of ;%UNITS (as already mentioned) and ;%TYPE.
