Angled Framing

My cut plane is set at its default 4' but all my angled braced framing shows in its entirety in plan view.

What can I do show my braced framing in plan with a cut plane 4' above the floor?

You can sete the view range, plan region, etc. and none of this woll work, because the structural beams, bracing families do not respect visibility for their modeled solids as do other elements (i.e. walls, floors, roofs, stairs, ramps, etc.).

How then can we get the structural membes to cut?

One way is to create a 3D view, turn the the section box in View Properties, go the View menu and set the 3D View to Orientation - Top. You may have to place the 3D view in elevation to get the section box to the right cut plane height and then place it back in top view.

Another way would be to edit the family and included the exact linework needed using symbolic lines
