Hello everyone,

I need some help opening and recovering this .dwg file. I have tried recover and it wraps out all of the layers in the file so only layers "0" & "Defpoint" remain and I have also tried partial open which didn't work.

There are no xref files in the drawing just line work, blocks w/ att. text, and dtext.

This is my titleblock and the file was made on AutoCAD2007 saved down to 2004.

I hope someone can help.

It's telling me that the file is either corrupt or has an incorrect file type. As a security precaution, it is recommended that you cancel the download.

Sooooooo, I think I'm gonna cancel it. Sounds like it is corrupt. Do you have an autosave copy? How about a .bak?

Okay so I cancel the download and my ADT gets a fatal error and crashes. :| That file is bad news.

dzatto,

No I don't have a autosave copy and the .bak file is doing the same as the .dwg file :(

Thanks for giving it a go.

Look to see where it is saving your autosaves in the options window.

I tried just about everything. from recover to insert portions via design center to different versions of AutoCAD. Sorry.. I get either "out of memory" errors, straight out crashes, and a few "corrpupt object 35" messages depending on the technique tried.
