Hi All:

We have been having problems with using AutoCAD 2007 on a file, saving back to 2004 and opening with 2006 and having an AEC object error dialog box pop up on the drawing.

To my knowledge we don't have any AEC objects on the drawings. but yet the messages still comes up.

Any ideas on what is going on?

Is there a fix?

And how can we get rid of the error message?

Try purging the regapps: -purge, R option.

Also you can save the file down as a DXF and then open it in your earlier version; any AEC and metadata should get stripped.

Okay the -purge, R option didn't work. But I didn't know that the -purge, All option did not include this. Thanks

The Dxfing may be a bit too cumbersome. Any other ideas?

cheers

Well, I think you should check and see if the DXF suggestion works.

Try searching for Proxy Objects or Object Enablers.
