I know that mirroring a project is an old subject, but I haven't had to do it for a long time, and the last time I had to do it was with a very small home and I just used AutoCad. Didnt' like the results too much but it worked for that situation. I would really like to keep it in Revit so that any field revisions etc. can be kept with the model file. Since we are going to be the Prime on this one as well, I'd like to keep it in Revit.

Has anyone really come up with a decent way to mirror a set of construction documents? I have four models in the housing track I am doing right now and they will all have to be mirrored. I'm pretty nervous about it because I don't really see a way it can be done without having to spend a lot of time combing over the model for mistakes, fixing details, annotations etc. I just don't know what to expect. I filed a support request and was denied. They said they could help after I've tried it. Any suggestions would really be appreciated. Thanks

there still is no good way to mirror an entire cd set.

Just curious, and this must be a subject that the developers have spent a lot of time looking at...

but what is it about this particular function that is so difficult in revit?

(I mean, even autoCAD can do it....;) )

(although, I don't believe sketchUP even has a mirror command at all....:screwy: )

Ditto:?: This function would be incredible to have in Revit as I'm sure everyone could use this at some time or another.

If you search here you'll find mention of a *.ini "tweek" that allowed Revit to mirror a whole project. It was available on a project by project basis from Autodesk or your reseller. However about 9 months ago or so it was pulled and no longer available for anyone.

So adsk has worked on it. Had some success - maybe not complete success. But now has retreated.... As you have said - there is big demand for this feature.

I also could make use of this feature. I am currently feeling very clumsy mirroring anything.

I experience lot of trouble when mirroring anything in the family editor when the source object has constraints
