I had ADT 2004 on my computer, and it wasn't backward compatable, so we decided not to use it and stayed with 2002. We are now thinking of going to ADT 2005, and I want to be sure that it is fully backward compatable with older AutoCAD versions (to 2000, anyway). Thank you.

ADT 2005 uses the same file format as ADT 2004, so you can exchange files between the two programs [with some limitations in that some of the new features added in ADT 2005 - such as fields - will not be fully functional when opening in ADT 2004].
ADT 2005 can open earlier version files, but if you save the files in ADT 2005, then the object types are "promoted" to the ADT 2005 types and will not be usable as ADT objects in ADT3.3 and earlier.
