I am trying to calculate the amount of cut needed for different below grade parking garage options and the numbers don't add up. The amount of cut volume doesn't even equal the area of the pad that is completely below all of the topo surface. I have even copied the topo into a new file and put in a new pad that is also completely below the surface with no other pads present and I get both a cut and a fill amount.
Should I be getting a fill number if the pad is completely below the surface? Why do the cut volume numbers come up less than the area of the pad?
*update* I have figured out what was causing my problem. It seems that Revit doesn't like subregions on the existing topo to be used for cut fill calculations.
