Access Generic Annotation quickly?

Is there a way to place a Generic Annotation family that is faster than wandering thru the Project Browser? We use a lot of "fake" tags for Drafting Views and such, and in a big project with a bazzilion families, the Project Browser is not an ideal way to get to the tags.

On the Drafting tab of the deign bar, there is the 'Symbol' button/tool. This should allow you to place any kind of generic annotation you have loaded in your project. This beats using the project browser in my opinion.
