decorative brick patterns

Does anybody have any tricks for showing decorative brick patterns like flemish bond or dark courses on a wall? It won't be happening on the entire wall, but it is in more than enough places that I don't want to draw it in each view. I'm thinking maybe a wall based family with some kind of detail component array, but if anyone else has done something like this I'd appreciate your help.

you should be able to make almost any brick pattern a hatch pattern(surf. pattern) I'm sure I have a flemish, if you search the forums for my acad(revit).zip file it has all my hatch patterns(ready for revit) in it. Then use embeded walls with the right materials material. Note a wall can be any size.
