ODBC export to Excel

We need an automated (fool proof) way to export our area calculations into excel.The ODBC export routine is pretty much providing what we need.When exporting about 150 tabs are created. However, all we care about is the AREAS and the LEVELS tabs.Is there a way of limiting the export to have the resulting excel file better streamlined?

You can create your schedules in Revit and then export the schedules directly to Excel. Even you don't really sort and group in Revit as long as you include all the fields in your schedule you will get, more or less, the same data from the export to Excel as you wil from ODBC export

I've found that it's much much easier to export schedules in Revit using Delimited Text Files (*.txt). All you have to do is open your schedule in Revit, then go to 'File - Export - Schedule', and 'Save' your *.txt file. Once you have the Delimited Text File you can open that up in Excel, do a 'Save As' as a *.xls and you're ready to roll.
