I have been producing some renders of a project and have set up a true north relating to the site plan and a project north for working on the plans etc. The problem is when i render. I have created views whilst in both true north and project north views, but the sun always appears to relate to project north and is casting shadows that are unrealistic.

Can anyone offer any ideas as to what i need to do or what i have done wrong?

Thanks

One thing you could do is to set the Sun angle "Directly" to what ever Azimuth and Altitude you want. Under Render Scene Settings go to Solar angles and in the "Specify Solar Angles" box choose "Directly".

Cheers Henry

I have found another way around it.
In the settings tab of sun and sky settings, you have to set the north arrow to the angle of difference between your true north settings and project north. This seems to override the problem.

By the way, I emailed the problem to Revit support who have had to forward it to "product development organisation" to see if they can resolve the matter.
