We are converting DesignCad drawings into AutoCad. The DesignCad drawings use Arial as a font, When we convert to AutoCad changes to standard font.
It takes ades to convert every single drawing to arial, Has anyone got any ideas how to
batch convert.
We are using AUTOCAD LT 2002.

Edit you standard DWT, such that the STANDARD text style uses
the Arial font.

Hi

Please note I've *moved* this Topic (Thread) from the AutoCAD General Forum (http://forums.augi.com/forumdisplay.php?f=120) to this one as I believe it would be better served here.

Thanks, Mike

Hi

Does AutoCAD LT have the system variable FONTMAP ?

Options -> Files Tab -> Text Editor, Dictionary, and Font File Names -> Font Mapping File

If yes, take a look at using that (AutoCAD OnLine Help Files "F1")

AutoCAD Online Help File -> Contents Tab -> AutoCAD Online Manuals -> User's Guide -> Hatches, Notes and Dimensions -> Notes and Labels -> Work with Text Styles -> Assign Text Fonts -> Substitute Fonts

Check out the following Technical Document on the Autodesk web site under the Knowledge Base section -

Have a good one, Mike
