Stretch Line along same angle

I'm trying to create a block that defines a line between two points. I need to then stretch the line past one of the end points. The line is of course at some angle and I need to stretch either on that same angle for along the Y-axis without changing the angle. I'm attaching a pic of what I've got thus far to help illustrate.
