We are now starting an expansion to an interior fit-out project we completed last year. This is the first time we will be using a previous rvt project file to start a new rvt project.

We have taken the original and created a new central file.

How do we use the existing information in a newer phase? We have sheets, details and schedules that we want to re-use.

Should we combine all of the phases to the existing phase? What happens to the demolished work?

Does anyone have a strategy document for this kind of scenario?

Any help would be appreciated!

Maybe I don't understand ,but isn't it as easy as going to a 3D view - selecting everything and placing it on the existing phase?

I don't know. That's why I'm asking around. I'm doing some testing this morning...

You could also just add a new phase to the project and use that as your 'new' phase. The demo and new tool works just fine. We use that for some of our TI projects that have a background in Revit.
