Detail Level Display for mullion profile

I have created a mullion profile and inserted a detail component into the profile family. I set the detail component to display only at fine level. I set the profile to display at coarse and medium. The problem is the profile still shows in the fine level of detail.

Anyone I have an idea why this is happening?

i have not found a way to turn off the profile but i have a work around. see my attached screen shot. what i did was turn the cut style of the mullion to white colour and line weight of 1. This will give the appearance of the profile "disappearing". The only down side is that there is a tin white line in the middle of the detail component. hard to see, but it will make the line wieght of the detail component slightly lighter.
