I am having trouble exporting revit to dwg... I have never had the trouble in the past
I thought that it may be a hardware issue, because my software locks up (I get a not responding status) and i have to end the program from my task manager...
The problem only happens with this one file, I can export dwg from other files which are larger. Can you think of anything that may be causing the lock up???

Sometimes surface pattern can cause this, either floor or wall. Try turning them off, then export.

Do you know the cartesan coordinates of your model? We are working with a survey benchmark that is over 100 miles from our site. Since precise building location is required on our project, our N/E coordinates are 6 & 7 figures. We have found that under certain conditions, Revit cannot handle very large numbers correctly.
Pray for 64-bit Revit!

I tried taking off the surface patterns, that didnt work... and I couldnt find anything about the coordinates of the model... I just exported them as tiff's and traced over the drawing... thanks for the help.

If it is and elevation of section sheet, try turning off any dwgs, I have had this problem when I have say a floor plan dwg inserted in plan, it actually shows up in elevation as a straight line and will crash your export, so try turning off all dwgs in elevations and sections and you should be ok.
