Howdy All,

I work in the construction industry. I am using AutoCAD 2004.

I have to prepare some catalogue cuts for installation instructions to be approved by an architect. I need to create several isometric assemblies and then my PM wants me to pretty them up with notes and leaders and hatching and etc.....

The last time I did something like this I was using R14. I would build a 3D model and then plot it to a file. Then I would import the .plt file into a 2D drawing and pretty it up.

I tried this today. I can plot to a .plt file but can't figure out how to import it into another drawing.

I'm sure there is a better way to do this, I just don't know what it is.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
David

Hi

For starters try plugging the following search criteria into the forum search (http://forums.augi.com/search.php?) facility (hint - limit your search to this actual forum - AutoCAD 3D (2006 or below) (http://forums.augi.com/search.php?f=190))...

Key Word(s): Flatten

*SolDraw*

*SolView*

Have a good one, Mike
