View Full Version : Mechanical 2007 - Lines are being drawn a long way away from the object

All of the sudden when I draw a line it being drawn way away from where I want it. And then I can't even move it to the correct spot. Is there a system variable for this??? I am useing 2007 Autocad Mechanical. When I am drawing a line it is in 3d.

Learn to use the UCS. lines are drawn on the UCS plane

JetsFlyer most likly has it right, only other thing I can think would be a problem with OSnaps

I know how to use the UCS, and it could have been an error in the osnaps???
It must have been some kind of error in Autocad Because the next morning, I was able to draw normally again. Thanks for the replies to my question!

By problem with osnaps I just meant that sometimes things snap when we don't want them to snap. That doesn't seem to be the case in your drawing. If it is working now though then it just must have been a case of holding your head tilted or wearing a certain color shirt (as our it person puts it when a problem solves itself)
