Hello Fellow Revit users and those curious about Revit. Please join us at the next Bay Area Revit User's Group meeting at the local San Francisco AIA office.
This meeting will be all about the Details.
For the first portion of the evening, we will be presenting Detailing in Revit. See the two primary ways of detailing within Revit, how to bring in existing DWG/DGN details and photos into Revit and reference them into your sets, how efficient detailing is within Revit, the drafting toolset within Revit, and more.
Then we will take an intermission break, with snacks and drinks, giving everyone the chance to hob-nob and talk, as well as ask questions.
Then we will move onto the more technical portion of the evening, where we will be presenting Managing Details in Revit, creating Detail Component Families, and Detail Libraries. We'll be talking about using Groups to manage details, how to generate new Detail Component Families (from scratch and from existing AutoCAD blocks), ways to create Detail libraries, and how to include some of your 'standard' Details into your templates.
We'll have some snacks, wine, and sodas. If you can, either register on the website (http://www.aectech.com/) or e-mail me (jeffrey.mcgrew@id8media.com) to say that you are coming, so that I can get a head count. Hope to see you there!
Location: San Francisco AIA Office, San Francisco, CA http://www.aiasf.org/
Date: Tuesday, July 20th, 2004. (Every Third Tuesday of the Month).
Time: 6:00 pm meet, and we'll probably start at around 6:30. The second, more technical portion of the evening should start at around 7 pm.
If you have any questions, please give me a call/email. Hope to see you there!
