What's up with autocad and vista.... anything being done anywhere to make them compatable?
Just curious as we need new computers.

On their web site, Autodesk says AutoCAD 2008 runs on certain versions of Vista. That being the case, I doubt they will put much effort into making prior versions of AutoCAD Vista-compatible. Unfortunately, it sounds from your question that you're not ready to upgrade to 2008.
I do, however, see that Dell (probably among others) still offers Windows XP on new computers, so maybe you can avoid Vista incompatibility altogether.

What version of AutoCAD are you running?
If AutoCAD 2008, you should be good to go.
If AutoCAD 2007, take a look HERE.
