i've got an enlarged plan callout of the third floor and in view properties it lists the first floor as the associated level. then i go to view range and it's set to the third floor (which is correct). the enlarged plan is showing the third floor. now i'm making a plan detail callout of the enlarged third floor plan and it's stuck down on the first floor. it won't show me any levels higher than the first to change to in the view range of the plan detail...
i'm not sure how the enlarged third floor got associated with the first floor but i think this might be the crux of the problem. any ideas? i'm deadlining and the enlarged plan is way to full of info and dim's to redo at this point. help please.

nevermind, i just saw the pulldown to change from plan to detail view....
i've not set any of my other stuff to 'detail'. hope this is not going to cause any other problems. i've made all kinds of callouts in this project and this is the first i've noticed the view range thing happening.

Yeah, it would appear that someone copied a view of the 1st floor plan, or an enlarged plan of the first floor plan, and then changed the view range to the third floor. The problem is that the enlarged plan is still associated with level 1. Unfortunately, you can't change this association.
You should really check to make sure all the other views are associated correctly, and delete any that aren't. You can create correctly associated views first by selecting View:New:Floor Plan and selecting the correct level. Then, you should be able to copy most of the annotations you've done to the new views.
But, if the incorrectly associated views are working for you for now, perhaps you just leave well enough alone. Unfortunately, these things tend to come back and bite you at the worst time (like 2 days before the bid package is due, etc...).
Good luck...

thanks...i've been the one setting up the views and i don't remember copying callouts from floor to floor. could using a view template cause this to happen?
