Adjust line length as leader is rotated around a hexagon

our coded note tag is a hex tag with leaders coming off if it as needed. i have block that takes care of the tag and multiple leaders, but as the leaders rotate around the hexagon, the base of it becomes 'detached' from the shape (or if adjusted for the flat sides, becomes too long at the corners.) what would be the best way to deal with this?
