So I'm creating this dynamic block for the company I work for. I only want help on the joist plan part right now. The drawing attached has three elements in it, the blocks that I'm replacing, and two dynamic blocks I've been playing with. Now the one is named atest2 where I tried to fix the front webs distortion with rotation. The other is named DYN-JST-GRDR this is the one I was having loads of fun with until I noticed the bottom of the front web was distorting itself as I went to bigger joist sizes. So I've tried fixing this thing but now I need a break and I'm out of ideas. So hopefully I attached this drawing correctly and you guys and gals can bless me with you DB knowledge since I'm new to this DB stuff. We upgraded from 2004 about 6-9 mths ago and I've been trying to learn how to create DB's in my down time and I've finally gotten a chance to drown myself in all the DB fun with this block, or so I feel, there's probably lots I don't know. Thanks in advance

Thanks in advancefirst off, welcome aboard!
second, i invite you to download my archived ATP on working & implementing DB's (Sept. 2006 & Jan. 2007) i think they've helped out at least 4 people thru AUGI.
fourth, have you also checked out the sharing thread on what others have done with joist db's?
fifth, i don't count well, but this group is addictive (so are DB's tho...)
sixth, i'll check out your file when i have a chance over lunch, k?

Should note that TrueConvert is gone, that's why the link goes to TrueView. Inside TrueView is a converter that looks a lot like eTransmit.

I thought I should let you all know I have the joist fixed and now I'm working on the girder and then I will post to let you all know that I put it on the sharing forum. I know some joist blocks already exist on the forum but from what I've seen and I could have missed some I'm using a different methodology and would like to share it with you all. Tips and criticism will always be welcomed. Thanks!!!!!!
