I would like to be able to toggle off the crop boundary when returning to my elevation. Right now if you set the CB it stays that way in both directions. So when I set up my elevation sheet on a large project my original elevation crops out as well. I would like to be able to back to my entire elevation and then not have to reset the elevation sheet again.
Or can I do this now?

If I correctly understand your wish, here's what's presently available.

If you set a crop boundry, & turn it off by unchecking the crop region box, you lose that crop boundry forever.

If you set up a crop boundry box, & turn it off by unchecking the "crop boundry visible box", or by highlighting the boundry & using the "hide annotation in view" , you don't lose the crop boundry.

Hi there,

Yes, it can get old doing what you describe! I have never done this myself yet; however, I don't see why this would not work.

Make a 'duplicate with detailing' of your elevation. Maybe label it "Sheet Elev". Use that new copy to crop and place on the sheet. When you want to work on the 'real' elevation at full size, go to the original one. The copied "Sheet Elev" should update with every change, but keep it's desired crop boundry.

Let us know if this works. I've thought of this from time to time; however, like all Revit ideas, who has time to explore every idea you come with at 1 am while brushing one's teeth!

Good Luck

Elevations don't allow duplicate with detailing at this time.

Hi there,

Thanks for that reply Steve. Guess I have another 'wish list' item.
