fatty lines

What would cause the lines look fat when in paper space? But when it prints, it looks ok!

Look down at the tray buttons. There is one called LWT. See if that is clicked on.

Probably what you're talking about is the LWEIGHT settings. If you type LWEIGHT it will bring up a dialog and usually if the "Show Lineweights" box is checked, the lines will appear "FAT", but if you uncheck the box, the lines will appear normal like vector graphics should. Have a good one!

If you want to use the LWT toggle, only the lines appear to be
too fat, then right-click and adjust the scaling of the display for
those lines that are too fat in the display.
One can also toggle off, display plot stlye in page set-up.
