I started working with Revit 2008, but I'm having a problem with the cursor that makes it very difficult to work with this new release. Every time I select any element, the cursor goes to the top left corner of the screen where the save icon is. This did not happen with the previous releases. Is it a bug, or there is an option I should be customizing? I'll appreciate your help on this matter.

I can't help you personally, but I did read about this on the beta site. I know there is a fix, send adsk a support request if noone else remembers the answer. I'll check the beta site on monday and see if I can find the answer. Try checking you mouse setting for something like automatic home or automatic locate.

Hi,
Do You use cursor automatic snapping to the default point setting in Windows by any chance ? (Windows mouse settings).
I had similar problem in Revit MEP but after I switched the option off it went away.
I hope this helps.

Hi Andre,
I'm having this cursor problem only with Revit 2008; no problem with any other Revit release or any other application. However I followed your advise and checked my mouse settings. I see that under Pointers I have Windows Default (system scheme), which is what I've had all these years. Thank you for the advise, it could have been that.
Scott,
It looks that it could be what you suggest. What is the adsk beta site address? I couldn't find it. Thanks so much for the help.
