I have a 3D solid I am trying to plot from model space. It is in a perspective view and I am viewing it in the hidden visual style. When I try to plot it as a black and white hidden view using the monochrome plot style it always plots in color. I also have a custom plot style I created which plots all layers in black and white but with a few varying line thicknesses. This style will only plot in color also. Is there some system variable or something I am missing?

Hi

Look at creating a new visual style...

ID: TS1057483 - Creating a new visual style from an existing visual style (http://usa.autodesk.com/getdoc/id=TS1057483)

Have a good one, Mike

Visual Styles have a lot of problems in 2007, I'm not sure if they're fixed in 2008. You've touched on one of them.

Select the viewport and in the properties box under 'Misc' change the shade plot to 'Hidden'. This will then activate the obscured line settings you've chosen in the Visual Styles box under '2D wireframe'. The major drawback to this is cylinders will have tessellation lines, which is unacceptable for anything published.

The best method I've found around this, and the other Visual Style bugs, is to use SOLPROF command to create projections of your 3d work for plotting. FLATSHOT works also but it's limited in functionality.
