Hi there,

I decided to throw these out to the forum. Bear in mind, I have been using Revit for exactly one year now. (hand drafting office prior to that)

Here is a project in Tucson, AZ. The interior Bank lobby was my first rendering attempt after only using Revit for 5 months. (Since that time, I have now learned how to control plants, decals and modeled text better!) The monument tower is the latest addition to this project. I have included the non-rendered view in order to show off my Palm Trees.
(I actually was able to figure out how to edit the conifer tree family drawing in order to have deciduous, conifer and now "palms and yuccas"!) I was pretty proud of that.

I don't really do full out renderings; however, I do use these types of renderings to show clients as part of a design presentation.

Hope you like them.

Steve, thanks for sharing,
I'll have to keep my eye open
next time I'm in 'The Old Pueblo'
for your work.

I like the subdued tonality of the second and third images although that sky looks a bit more like a New England ocean storm rather than a day in the Sonora Desert. To me, the more expressive uses of rendering and visualization features are often more effective in capturing the character of the design than obessively "accurate" or hyper real ones.

Hi,

Thank you David. I really appreciate the encouraging words. The sky is something that I have worked with for a while now on various renderings. Here in Tucson, we get a rather unique weather pattern during July and August called the "monsoon season". Each late afternoon, the wind kicks up and the sky gets as extremely dark. The sun is usually very low and intense as it rakes across the town with an intensity which is hard to describe; however, I now use that for most of my drawings because it allows the sun to penetrate better and really allows for a nice contrast between the building elements and the background sky.
(These views don't really capture that due to the orientation and camera location, but I have done some in the past that really do have the cool 'monsoom' quality.)

Thank you again for developing such a unique and powerful tool and keep up the great work!
