I drew wall based lighting fixture at 99.5" above the floor. I need to see them on my ceiling plan. I tried to set my view range but it didn't work. Any clues??

Does the fixture have graphics that actually show up in plan view?

I checked, it seems like I should see them.

I have been working on ceiling plans for the last few weeks. The documentation on this issue in Revit help really is lame.My porject has multi levels floor plan areas and ceiling planes. It seems that the view range is the opposite of the floor plan view. What has helped is that I will have a section open and draw dimensions to the ceiling plan from the level. Then I can deterimine the view ranges for various parts of the plan fro each sheet layout view that I am developing. It is a little tricky.

I think what Aaron was alluding to, is for you to check the families geometry, inside the family itself. Im guessing by the way you worded your response, that you meant it should show up because it falls int he view range.
But, go in to the Family itself, and select the geometry. Then click Visibility in the Option bar, and make sure it is set to be visible in Plan/RCP. If it isnt, it wont matter if its in every plan view range in your project. :)
