Hey guys,

I want this roof to have one intersection point. How do I do this in Revit. I was able to use the new roof tools in revit to do this, but when you use the new tools, you are no longer able to use the join roofs tool. So if I have to, I can deal with that, but I would like to know how to do this with a footprint roof. Seems to me like I saw a presentation from AU on how to do this or maybe I saw it here, in any case, a little help would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Josh

Hi Joshua...

Make it out of 2 Roofs, one for the turret, and one for the sides. Slope arrows for all. :)

Thanks a lot for the example. I'll give that a shot.

I just did the calcs and created a new pitch for the two ******* sketch lines and got it that way, it worked out.

Thanks!
Josh

Yeah, ive done it that way too, where i do the math the old school way and enter it for the slope of a "defines slope" edge... The reason i gave up using that method is the eaves get all uneven, vertically. Then i use align eaves, and it either pulls one out, or down, or something.

Or, the slope will be a really weird fraction, and theyll "just miss" at the point.

I like the slope arrows because i snap them all together, haha.

Glad you got it to work out, any way that works. :)

All the legs of the walls have to be equal. Then the roof hips will intersect at one point. You don't have to do 2 roofs.

I didn't have the room in this entry to keep them even. I'm ok with some ba stard hips to get the single point in the roof we wanted. Thanks for your help guys!
