Been using AutoCAD/ABS in a 2D environment for years but am finally taking the step up to 3D.
Basically, i'm having some trouble creating new blocks.
I have a boiler which i need a 3D block of.
I have a 2D top view and a 2D side view.
From these, how do i create a 3D block?
Is there a step by step guide i can view anywhere?
Thanks
Neil

I all depends on the geometry. At its simplest, a "boiler" could be a sheet metal enclosure. If that is the case, just convert the plan view rectangle into a Region (with the Region command) and Extrude it by the boiler height given by the elevation. Anything else is more, or even more, complicated.
That applies to all versions of acad from R13. A2007 also gives other tools.

For me I think you should create this boiler in 3D based in your orthographics views.
