Using AutoCAD 2002 on Windows XP Professional SP1. I get the following error message when working in AutoCAD 2002:
INTERNAL ERROR:
!U:\global\src\ObjectDbx\DB\IMP\src\dbobji.cpp@5619: eNotOpenForWrite
I have no idea for a reason. Does anybody know this error?
Thanks!
Andreas

Hi Andreas
Please note I've *moved* this Topic (Thread) from the AutoCAD Customization (http://forums.augi.com/forumdisplay.php?f=118) to this one as I believe it would be better served here.
Thanks, Mike

Hi
Do you receive that message on all drawing files or just the odd one?
Check out the following Technical Document on the Autodesk web site under the Knowledge Base section -
ID: TS76803 - Internal Error : !U\global\scr\ObjectDbx\DB\IMP\scr\dbutil.cpp@870 (http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/item?siteID=123112&id=3003079&linkID=2475323)
Please note the above does not directly answer your question, I only offer here as it gives a series of steps to try and recover drawing data.
You could also try to clean up the drawing data by using the WBlock method -
ID: TS67106 - Recover damaged drawing files (http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/item?siteID=123112&id=2860535&linkID=2475323)
Hopefully the above will help a little as when I searched the web for things like -
U:\global\src\ObjectDbx\DB\IMP\src
eNotOpenForWrite
the results all pointed towards corrupt drawing data, therefore some kind of recover is required.
Have a good one, Mike

Andreas,
It might be worth checking on the free space allocated to you on the disk ( I'm taking it that your on a network by the U:\).
If your server is run by an IT dept. find out what limit they have set on the folder, it may not be the same as the free space shown on explorer.
I used to be at a place with minimal space about 20Gb for the whole of engineering run approx. 16 cad licences we used to get this twice a year
