If you really need a hard copy, just print the enitre Help file. It's the same thing you will get from Autodesk. Same goes for the Tutorials.

You should find everything you need here.

http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/item?siteID=123112&id=9481365

The User's Guide at the bottom of the page is what you want. I believe it is also included on the install disk when you get it from Autodesk

If you just got the new version you can go to www.autodeskbookrequest.com and fill out the form to have them send you the manual that you choose. Otherwise you can go to the product page and click on manuals and it will cost you $25 a copy. As stated above what they send you is the printed form of the help files and / or tutorials so you can print them yourself. (I had them ship me the printed book since it was free....besides I like books! )

if you look in C:\Program Files\Revit Architecture 2008\Program you can find at least 3 PDFs that cover all these including the getting started guide -
BuildingA4ENU.pdf (user guide)
BuildingGSGENU.pdf (getting started guide - ie a general tuturial)
HelpBuildingENU.pdf (help files)

I just received my 2008 printed Imperial Tutorial. In Revit 9.0 there was also a printed users guide 2 separate books anyone know if there is one for 2008 or is the tutorials the only one printed?

There is the User's Guide and the Tutorials. I was allowed to order both this year, but only one last year. It looks like I'll get them tomorrow.

User guide is now a single book with 850 pages

I got both mine today. The tutorials are nearly 1200 pages. Great resource. Many times it's better to find the applicable tutorial on a problem than to read the manual. I'm glad they were generous enough to allow both books this year.

Does anyone know if those of us 'Down Under' in New Zealand/Australia are able to get the user manual/tutorial books sent to us for free like you North and South Americans can?

Last time we were able to fax off a form to autodesk asia/pacific for our allocated Revit 9 manuals, which were great, but we dont seem to have been given those forms this time and I cant seem to find a similar book request website for our area.

I know we can download them and print them ourselves but that is a hassle, isn't as compact/portable, and doesn't seem logical to have to do when there is a hardcopy version available. We also have some new users in our office who prefer to flick through pages rather than on screen and the old manuals are now slightly out of date and too few to go around our additional staff.

It should be an option given to you by the resellers for every release recieved I reckon.

Cheers
