Need a little input on creating a room specific schedule.
We are needing to create a set of 8 1/2 x 11 sheets with the diagram of each room in our building accompanied by a Schedule of Items specific to that Room only. Attached is the schedule format that we would like to add to the sheet. Creating the individual parameters and associating them with a room tag is not a problem but having a schedule that appears on a single sheet with the info on that particular room only (in our format) is the problem we cant solve.
Has anyone had the need for this application?
Any input Greatly Appreciated

You can add the room fields to your furniture schedules, equipment schedules, these items know what room they are in. Then you can filter by room name or number so you only get one room at a time. then duplicate the schedule and filter by room name = x, repeat for each room type. So you will have a room schedule with the area and finish info, then a light/equipments schedule with room fields added and filtered, then furniture.

This might help with what you are trying to achieve.

It looks to me like if it has to be "that exact" format, that youll make Four Separate schedules for each room, with the parameters in each column. Then youll filter the schedule to only show that one room.
Weve done something similar, but not as involved. We have leasing packages, so we need a room schedule for each tenant space. We make a Room Finish Schedule and a Door Schedule for each tenant, Filtered only for that tenant space. It makes the "Schedules" Area of the Project Browser Crazy Long, but other than that it works like a charm. :)

Thanks for all the replies. We actually had figured out the scheduling way but we did not want to have to create all the different schedules for every room which would have amounted to almost 80 and graphics wise would not look the same.
We came up with a solution by creating a custom room tag that was a actually made up of shared parameters and formatted to look like the schedule that we needed. By creating only a different Dependent view for each room and tagging the room in that view with this new Room Tag, we could get a view of the room and the schedule in one sheet specific to that room. Actually worked out nicely. Now any room changes will update on our Room Data Sheets automatically.
If any one needs more specifics, ill be glad to share more detailed info.

Hi everyone
Speaking of schedules, we would like to add a room location in our schedules.
ie: we have a door number, the width, the height, the description of the door, and the total number of doors in that specific type. How would one add the extra column showing the room names that; that specific door relates to?
We have adding the column for room names, however you have to list each and every door. Surely theres a way of listing all the rooms that have that specific door type?
Any ideas.
Many thanks.

I am thinking two issues with this. In the help file is directions on how to sort schedules by column or row, so you could have all the same door types be grouped together, though you might not be able to join them together - at least all "D1" doors would be in one section of the schedule.
The bigger question would be why you have a quantity value in your schedule in the first place. I don't know if it is a different practice in other countries, but we DO NOT quantify values for materials, that is the responsibility of the contractor. We make sure to avoid this trap while reviewing shop drawings and even go so far to state "contractor to verify" whenever there is a quantity identified.
You might want to talk to admin about whether or not identifying quantity is a good idea legally....

Michelle- You posted a very helpful example of a room finish schedule and room style schedule which I used to great effect yesterday- however this morning I notice that while everything is correct on my room style schedule in terms of materials are in the column under North Wall Materials and Finish is under North Wall Finish- in the finish schedule two of the columns have reversed themselves - I have checked the order of the fields repeatedly and moved them around but there seems to be a glitch in the linkage- can you suggest a way to clean this up (boy am I ready to take a database class)-
