Revision without a title?

We would like to get some less ugly formatting in our title block, basically everything left or right justified, as apposed to the vert stodgy feeling center justification. And yet there is ZERO formatting control over the title of a Revisions Schedule. So is my only option to just put opaque text over the top? I tried a Masking Region, and it doesn't actualy mask the schedule, which sucks. But any text I do is likely to obscure lines as well, because I can't control the amount of white space around the text.
Anyone have a recommendation, or are we stuck?
